Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting services, including livescan and ink cards (physical prints), are available by appointment only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Please call 530-550-2323 or email police-records@townoftruckee.gov to make an appointment with our staff.
Prices on fingerprinting services vary and cannot be determined ahead of time by our staff. Employers may choose to have the Department of Justice bill them directly at the end of the month. If an employer has chosen this method of payment there will be a BILLING NUMBER on your LIVESCAN request form. If this field has been completed, you will only be charged the Truckee Police Department’s $20 rolling fee. If the BILLING NUMBER field is left blank, you will be charged the fees indicated by the Livescan machine in addition to the $20 rolling fee. The fees are based on the agency’s ORI number (located on the upper left-hand corner of the Livescan form) and the type of service indicated on your form. These fields are typically located near the bottom of the Livescan form on the right hand side.
Applicants must bring a LIVESCAN REQUEST FORM (or a fingerprint card) from the requesting agency to their Livescan appointment, a valid photo identification, and a form of payment for the service.
